You and I are both surprised that I managed to get another rendition of The Crown Informer out on time. This newsletter has, unfortunately, fallen to the wayside for quite a while. But, with Autumn fast approaching, I want to start making this the central hub for my personal writing moving forward. So, without further procrastination, let’s get into this week of writing!
One Year at Screen Rant
Before getting into the independent writing that usually makes up this newsletter, I wanted to highlight how, last week, I celebrated one year working for the entertainment news website Screen Rant. I began my journey there as a contributor in September 2022, and have been a Senior Writer since March 2023. I am still eternally grateful for the opportunity to write about movies and TV as part of my work. As of this newsletter, I have 831 articles under my belt. I’m always writing new articles for the site, with a specialization in horror and fantasy. So, if you’d like to keep up with some of the latest news in film and TV, you can click my name below and bookmark my Author page, so you can always check in on the news I’m reporting!
Here’s to many more articles about TV and movies in the future!
WEEKLY WORDS
Mechanomica
I released Mechanomica Chapter 5 on Sunday, revealing more about the backstory of the Warrior Nun fanfiction’s brave new world. Chapters for Mechanomica are released every Sunday, with the goal of releasing some on Wednesdays in the future as well (although there will be a slight scheduling change this week, more on that in the Announcements section). You can click on the chapter name below to read the latest installment, or use the “Start Here” link to begin reading the story from the beginning.
Vanish
A new chapter of Vanish, after a little over a month of silence, has finally arrived! I’m hoping to continue writing new entries in this story more often, as it’s an original work I’ve been planning out for quite some time and that I’ve always wanted to write more of. I’m excited to continue the first arc of the story, titled “School Arc,” and showcase the beginning struggles of the web novel’s new world. New chapters of Vanish are released on Fridays, with a goal to slowly increase the output over time. You can read the latest chapter by clicking the name of it below, or use the “Start Here” link to read it from the beginning.
Note that there are links to both Archive of Our Own (AO3) and Wattpad below. Vanish is the same on both websites, you can just choose which you prefer to read it on.

Frayed Branches
My next set of Warrior Nun essays has begun on my blog, Frayed Branches. While my first series of essays focused on analyzing the show’s characters, my second set will be focused on three prevalent themes in the series. To start, I’ll be writing about religion and how the series tackles the subject. Given its prominence throughout the show, it’s unclear how many parts this first essay is going to need. So far, Part 1 covers an introduction of my thesis and the first two episodes of Season 1. So needless to say, this essay in particular will be massive by the time it’s finished. Either way, new entries in this latest essay will be published on Thursdays as usual. You can click the name of the essay below to read my initial thoughts on Warrior Nun’s use of religion in its story.

Twigs
Only one Twigs entry this week, taking a look at the final entry in Denzel Washington’s Equalizer trilogy. You can check out my thoughts by clicking the title below.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
This Week’s Schedule
As you can see here, there’s been a slight schedule adjustment. I do not feel at present that Mechanomica Chapter 6 is ready to be published tomorrow. I particularly want to make sure this chapter is written just right. So, despite not really wanting to, I’ve postponed it until Wednesday. However, I’m optimistic this delay won’t impact Chapter 7 coming out the following Sunday. I also have plenty of Twigs lined up for early in the week. So, really, this week is split between small writing at the start of the week, followed by three days of big updates. Whatever you happen to read from me, I hope you’ll enjoy what’s coming down the pipeline!
