Hello and welcome to another edition of The Crown Informer! After having to shuffle my schedule around a bit due to some time constraints, I’m finally back with another roundup of the writing I’ve been doing over the last few weeks. Alongside an important update in the Announcements section near the bottom. So, without further procrastination, here’s this week’s (or, last week’s) Crown Informer!
WEEKLY WORDS
Mechanomica
I released Mechanomica Chapter 6 on Wednesday, which acts as the penultimate chapter for the introductory arc of the fanfic. Chapter 7 will be released this coming week, ending the introduction arc and ushering in the real beginning of the story. Chapters for Mechanomica are usually released every Sunday, though this next chapter will likely be out around Wednesday or so. You can click on the chapter name below to read the latest installment, or use the “Start Here” link to begin reading the story from the beginning.
Frayed Branches
This week, I continued by analysis of Warrior Nun’s religious themes, this time covering Season 1, Episodes 3 and 4. While I anticipated a multi-part essay for each theme, I didn’t expect religion to end up as big as it is right now. By my estimation, if I continue to analyze the series at the pace I’m going, the religion essay alone will be the size of a novella. And that’s without the other two themes I’ll be approaching later on (though they will likely be much shorter). New entries for this essay will typically be published on Thursdays. However, this one was on Saturday, and the next one will also have a different release date (see in the Announcements section below). You can click the name of the essay below to read my latest Warrior Nun thoughts.

Twigs
It was a pretty big week for smaller Twigs reviews. Not only did I review the latest film in The Conjuring universe, The Nun II, but also the premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. I also spent some time talking about the very unique storytelling present in Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, Special Ops: Lioness. You can check out my thoughts by clicking the titles below.

Weekly Schedule
Here’s the schedule for this week! I know I said Crown Informer subscribers will get them early, but I had to make do to ensure everyone knew when this one would be coming out. As you can see, there’s been a slight adjustment to some scheduling. The next entry of the Warrior Nun religious essays will be coming out on Friday instead of its usual Thursday release date. Vanish Episode 5, which was slated for release last week, has been bumped to the same day as the next edition of The Crown Informer. I’d like to talk a little bit about these bumps in the schedule in the section below:
Busy Times Ahead
For a variety of reasons, I am going to be extremely busy over the course of the next month or so, right up until around Halloween, give or take a few days. There are a multitude of reasons for this. While some have to do with my working two jobs, one in journalism and one in content management, others have to do with ensuring the quality of my future writing here. Because of this, there may be some bumps in the schedule going forward.
Right now, my biggest priority is Mechanomica. Writing fiction is my favorite thing to do. To put that into context, I wrote the newest chapter of Mechanomica in a single sitting without even meaning to. That’s how much I adore crafting fictional worlds or rearranging existing ones into new stories. Additionally, Warrior Nun has driven me to write more this calendar year than ever before. Mechanomica is the best of both worlds in that regard. Which is why, going forward, ensuring at least one chapter of Mechanomica is released every week will be my Number 1 priority.
This does mean that, if things get too busy over the course of the next month, Vanish, The Lunaris Fulcrum, and even the Warrior Nun essay on religion could suffer some setbacks. All I ask is that you wait with patience while I balance out the next five or six weeks, so I can dedicate all my strength to each of my ongoing projects. I’d like to apologize in advance for any last-minute scheduling changes that come up between now and the end of October. I will do my best to ensure all future schedules reflect the capacity of what I can do in a given week.
Thank you.
