Finally, right?
Welcome to another edition of The Crown Informer. Despite its status as a supposedly weekly roundup of everything that I write in a given week, it hasn’t been that for quite some time. However, given the multifaceted work I’ll be doing in the months and years ahead, I’m hoping this will become a much more useful tool to consolidate everything weekly, while also making important announcements. Since this is the first edition of The Crown Informer to come out in quite some time, I’ve prepared plenty of surprise announcements for the end. So, let’s get started!
WEEKLY WORDS
Frayed Branches
First, I’ve introduced a new type of essay to Frayed Branches, titled “Twigs.” These will be short reviews on things I won’t be writing full-length essays about, similar to my pre-2023 writing for the blog. As part of this series, I’ll be reviewing episodes of The Walking Dead’s upcoming spinoffs, starting with the currently-airing Dead City.
In addition, I also wrote an essay this week analyzing the character Sister Crimson from Warrior Nun, and whether she is evil for the sake of it, or has some deeper characteristics beneath the surface. The essay also serves as a spiritual sequel to my first ever Warrior Nun essay where I analyzed Season 1’s villains through a “Puppykicker” lens.

The Lunaris Fulcrum
Another episode of my YouTube horror series The Lunaris Fulcrum premiered this week. The episode, titled “MOONSTONES,” focuses on how RubiTech harvests Moonstones off the back of the moon. You can find the video linked below, as well as a playlist for every episode of The Lunaris Fulcrum in order of release:
Vanish
The unfortunate reality is that I haven’t been able to work on Vanish as much as I would like to. What started as an ambitious 3-chapter-per-week project has started to dissipate due to a lack of time. Despite pumping out writing like a machine, I am, unfortunately, human, and need rest. However, I will never give up on writing Vanish and making it the best story I can possibly craft it into being. This is a story that has been bouncing around in my head for years, and one that is extremely important to me. I ask that you please be patient as I regain my rhythm, try my best to juggle everything that I have to, and make the best story I possibly can about kids surviving in a harsh, post-apocalyptic world.
To read Vanish so far, you can find it on Wattpad here:
Thank you.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
I have a few things coming this summer that I’ve decided to announce early here on The Crown Informer. Public announcements for all of these projects alongside more info will arrive in the coming weeks. For now, though, here is what to expect this summer from me and my writing!
Summertide: A Poetry Collection - Hardcover Edition
In September 2021, I released my first poetry collection, Summertide. The collection features poems I wrote over the summer of 2021, as well as poetry I’d written long before that I revisited and rewrote. Now, Summertide will be receiving a hardcover release this summer!
Summertide: A Poetry Collection will be available in hardcover on Friday, July 21, 2023. If you’re interested in reading Summertide in paperback or on Kindle eBook, both options are currently available to purchase. You can do so by clicking the links below:
Summertide will be the second-to-last of my original four books to get the hardcover treatment. I’m looking forward to how it turns out!
2022 Part II - Release Window
In February of this year, I released my second poetry collection, 2022 Part I. The collection was a smattering of poems written during 2022, as well as poetry that I wrote reflecting on the year and its importance in my life. Now, I can officially confirm that 2022 Part II: A Poetry Collection is being written! The collection is slated to be released in late summer 2023. I’m excited to share 184 new poems with you all very soon!
You can purchase 2022 Part I in hardcover, paperback, or Kindle eBook format by clicking any of the links below:
Excited to share my third poetry collection with everyone very soon!
And Finally…
Hmm, what could this be? You’ll have to wait and see…
